My first time to witness the actual setting up and taking off of hot air balloons, my, I was like a child thrilled and delighted. If only the price to ride in one of those wouldn’t burn my wallet big time, I’d definitely love to experience being inside the basket rather than just looking at them from afar and zooming in my camera to take a souvenir of the colorful giant balloons.
All the nice thoughts came in my mind as I watch them slowly being lifted up by the hot air breathing into them.
They were like carefree spirits being drifted away by the soft wind of February. Then I remember my childhood and those moments when I felt like I have all the freedom in the world to scream, jump and play till I drop.
A bit of a romantic soul that I am, I noticed one balloon leaning on another and I imagined that they were lovers on a date looking at the horizon where the sun will rise.
Ah, the paragliders! They make me want to fly. There’s this one gliding all over the field while carrying the Philippine flag with the national anthem playing in the background. It was a beautiful sight! Seeing our own red, white, blue and yellow flying across the sky gave me thoughts of freedom and pride.
Oh, it was such a lovely, lovely day! Minus the heavy traffic on our way home. hehe.
